How to pick the right number of days
- Start with your leave, not the brochure. A 3 to 5 day tour can often be built around a weekend. Twelve days usually needs 8 to 10 working days off.
- Think about energy. Short tours can be busy. Longer ones need free time built in, so check the itinerary.
- Don’t assume longer is cheaper. On our tours, the 12 and 23-day trips cost about €154 to €155 a day, more than the short breaks.
- Try short before going long. If you’ve never done a guided tour, a 3-day trip from €258 tells you whether you enjoy the format.
What a typical day looks like
Every tour is different, so treat this as a general picture rather than a timetable. Breakfast at the hotel, a morning departure, a guided stop or two, some free time to wander, and dinner in the evening. On days with more travelling, the coach does the heavy lifting.
