Day 2: Black Forest, Rhine Falls and Lucerne orientation tour
Today we drive to the Black Forest in the southwest region of Germany known for its lush valleys and pine-clad hills.
The Black Forest is certainly a beautiful place to visit. Some of the world’s best-quality wood products and the world’s prettiest and best-preserved forests are in this region.
The Black Forest maids, Black Forest farms, Black Forest gateau, Bollenhut hats and Cuckoo Clocks – embodies everything that you might expect of a picture-perfect German holiday.
Our tour takes us to Drubba in the heart of the Black Forest to see firsthand how the famous Cuckoo Clocks of Hofgut Sternen are made. From there it’s a short drive into Switzerland and onto Schaffhausen to witness the stunning natural beauty of one of Europe’s largest waterfalls, the Rhine Falls.
Then on to Lucerne a beautiful city located at the northern tip of Lake Lucerne, where you’ll see the Lion Monument called Lowendenkmal. Thereafter stroll along the banks of Lake Lucerne to see attractions like the Kapellbrucke (The Chapel Bridge) and the Spreuerbrucke, two traditional wooden bridges of Lucerne.
