Day 1: Arrival to Italy
Arrive in Italy where you are greeted with Benvenuto or ‘Welcome’ in Italian by your Tour Director. Italy is an extraordinary feast of heart-thumping, soul-stirring art, food and landscapes rivalled by few and coveted by millions. Epicentre of the Roman Empire and birthplace of the Renaissance, this sun-kissed virtuoso groans under the weight of its cultural cachet: it’s here that you’ll stand in the presence of Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel frescoes, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera and da Vinci’s The Last Supper. In fact, Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country on earth. It’s a cultural conundrum as thrilling as it is overwhelming. You’re bound to be excited about what lies ahead, but first enjoy dinner and a good nights sleep at your hotel. The action starts tomorrow!

We take a boat ride to reach Venice Island enjoying the famous scenic views as we head to St Mark’s Square to see the Bridge of Sighs, the Ducale Palace, St. Marks Basilica and the Clock Tower, all part of this beautiful and romantic city. Continuing the romantic theme we travel west to Verona, home to Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet to see the balcony where the lovers met. The 56m-high tower, officially the Duomo’s campanile (bell tower), took almost 200 years to build. Later, we head to Florence, a stunning medieval city divided into two parts by the River Arno. Florence is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world with its overflow of palaces, churches and museums filled with masterful paintings and sculptures. We begin our walking tour of Florence with sights such as Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Campanile and Baptistery along with Loggia Dei Lanzi and the Fountain of Neptune and Ponte Vecchio, the oldest and the most famous bridge in Florence. After another full day, enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
